Our Work
Projects
A selection of representative engagements across power, fiber, and data-center infrastructure. Client names are kept confidential.
The following highlights represent the range and depth of OptioPower's consulting work since 2001. Specific client names and locations are withheld at client request — contact us to discuss project types relevant to your needs.
Data-center Buildout
Hyperscale Campus Power Delivery
Northern California
Managed utility coordination and large-load feasibility for a multi-phase hyperscale data-center campus requiring over 200 MW of utility power. Engaged directly with PG&E through the large-load interconnection process, coordinated substation design requirements, and developed a phased delivery schedule aligned with the client's construction timeline.
Fiber Connectivity
Multi-carrier Fiber Strategy for Class A Office Portfolio
San Francisco Bay Area
Developed a fiber connectivity strategy for a portfolio of Class A commercial office buildings, evaluating carrier options, negotiating dark fiber and lit service agreements, and designing a meet-me room infrastructure that enabled carrier-neutral connectivity for tenants. Delivered significant cost savings versus the incumbent carrier's initial proposals.
Power Feasibility
Industrial Redevelopment Power Assessment
Central Valley, California
Conducted a comprehensive power feasibility assessment for the redevelopment of a large industrial site into a mixed-use commercial and light-industrial campus. Analyzed available utility capacity, identified required infrastructure upgrades, and provided a cost-to-serve analysis that informed the developer's acquisition decision.
Interconnect Design
Carrier-neutral Colocation Interconnect
Silicon Valley
Designed and specified the interconnect infrastructure for a new carrier-neutral colocation facility, including meet-me room layout, cross-connect systems, and carrier onboarding processes. The facility launched with commitments from multiple Tier 1 carriers, enabling tenants to access competitive connectivity options from day one.
AI Infrastructure
AI Compute Cluster Power Planning
Bay Area
Provided power infrastructure consulting for a high-density AI compute cluster deployment within an existing data-center shell. Assessed available power capacity, coordinated with the facility operator on distribution upgrades, and developed a power delivery roadmap supporting GPU cluster densities well above standard data-center norms.
PG&E Large-load
Large-load Feasibility for Logistics Campus
Inland Empire, California
Managed the PG&E large-load application and feasibility study process for a major logistics and cold-storage campus with significant power requirements. Coordinated the interconnection study, assessed cost-to-serve, and provided timeline analysis that allowed the developer to make informed go/no-go decisions well ahead of construction commitments.
